Dugger helped Pitt erase an 8-point halftime deficit and forced overtime during a 48-46 six overtime loss to Toledo Thursday afternoon in Detroit. The Panthers trailed 20-12 at halftime after starting walk-on David Lynch. Dugger, who had a few running players in the first half, stepped in and shouldered the load in the second half.
Lynch struggled with turnovers, throwing two interceptions. Dugger finished with two touchdown passes. Dugger finished with 88 rushing yards on 21 carries and scored a touchdown. His touchdown run in the first overtime gave Pitt a 37-30 lead.
Dugger did throw an interception in the fourth quarter.
