Mars graduate Robby Carmody has to be one of the most haunted basketball prospects to come out of the WPIAL in the last 10 years. Carmody, who is in his seventh year in college, looks like he is ready to go out on the right note. Carmody scored 13 points, including a key 3-pointer, to help LeMoyne (N.Y.) beat Dartmouth 80-76 Wednesday morning.
Carmody is averaging 11.6 points per game this season for the Dolphins. His previous high was 7.6 points per game with Mercer last season. During Carmody's first four seasons, he was severely limited by injury problems at Notre Dame. Carmody only played in 23 games over four seasons with the Fighting Irish.
During high school, Carmody helped the Planets win their first-ever WPIAL title. Mars also advanced to the PIAA title game twice during his career.
